Sanctuary Spa & Salon opened in January of 2003, with a staff of three, and the vision of a world class
day spa for the residents of Wilmington, Delaware and the surrounding areas. Part of that vision included
a classically elegant, neutral décor that both men and women would find soothing.
We were the first in the area to offer exclusive spa services, choosing not to offer hair salon services in
an effort to remain true to the spa experience. So our clients can relax without the noise and ‘energy’
associated with the many salons that do offer hair services. In keeping with our vision, we added a new client
lounge in 2009 and decided to drop ‘salon’ from our name. We were also the first in the area to offer
couple’s massages in our couples’ suite, and ‘Brazillian’ bikini waxing-for both men and women!
Our staff of professionals is highly qualified of course, but what makes us really stand apart is how warm
and welcoming we are with our guests. We are confident that everyone who walks through our doors is made
to feel comfortable, and will receive the finest services available. As a matter of fact, we guarantee it!
We support many charities through donations of services and products, and are thankful for the opportunities
to give back to our community.
We’ve grown to a staff of fifteen, many who have been here since that first year. We are committed to
always improving our skills and services through ongoing education and strive to give our guests our very
best with each visit.
We know you have many choices, and we’re grateful to you, our guests’, for choosing Sanctuary Spa
for your spa services.
We require 24 hours notice to cancel without charge, and reserve the right to charge the full price of your
service with less than 24 hours, or if you fail to show up. Reservations for multiple appointments, or those requiring
more than one hour, must be secured with a debit/credit card.
 Please arrive prior to your appointment time. Your visit will
be much more enjoyable if you don’t feel rushed. Arriving late will reduce treatment time so
that the next guest will not be inconvenienced.
Feel free to arrive in whatever is comfortable. All dressing and undressing is done in the privacy
of your treatment room. For your comfort and safety, we suggest that you leave jewelry and valuables at home.
Sanctuary Spa & Salon cannot be held responsible for lost items.
To get the most out of your treatment, please communicate with your
therapist. Your comfort and enjoyment are important to us. Let us know
if you have concerns about depth of pressure during your massage, room temperature, or other issues.
Spa services for those 16 and younger are provided at our discretion, and
with a parent or guardian’s approval. Please, for the comfort of all of our
clients, children under the age of 12 are only permitted in the spa by appointment.
